Savla has been working on getting her businesses going lately and we have had to move the computer out to the dining room. This has left her with very little space to work, and keep things organized. Se drew out a rough drawing of the custom desk she wanted and I built this. There will be additions to the “Home Office” like a monitor riser and printer stand to put paper under.
Here is the desk as Phase 1:
The desk is almost entirely made of pine plywood and pine 1×2. I first put on a layer of a Natural Danish Oil to harden the soft pine. Then I waited the 72 hours and added several coats of a flat Varathane water based polyurethane over the next couple of days to protect it. I really like the way the finish came out.
